"The Enormous Cloud"
A single cloud, enormous, still,
Floats like thought above the hill.
Feathered edges, brushed in white,
Spill into the hush of light.
Pale with lavender and blue,
It holds the shape of passing through—
A drifting whale, a mountain’s sigh,
A quiet sail across the sky.
The sun, behind it, softly plays,
A watercolor set ablaze.
No thunder speaks, no shadows fall—
Just one great breath above it all.
